The residents tried their luck at the many fun carnival games and cashed in their tickets at the prize table.Īs a finale to Nursing Home Week, the residents, staff, and volunteers at Williamsburg Health and Rehabilitation Center were treated to a buffet of international cuisine prepared by our fantastic dietary department and guest chefs. Our residents and staff enjoyed the last day of Nursing Home Week at the street fair! Cotton candy, face painting, lemonade, delicious cupcakes, and a real fortune teller helped to make this an unforgettable experience. We finished off the day with a Williamsburg School performance of Alice in Wonderland. We then had a blast with the clown relay and costume contests. Our circus day was unforgettable. Residents and staff enjoyed classic circus treats like peanuts, popcorn, and delicious funnel cakes! We even had a petting zoo which was very therapeutic for our residents. Disney characters put on a fashion show, played Disney adventure games, and Whitley County High School band came and performed our favorite Disney classics! The next days were great days at the Carnival! Corn hole, caramel apples, duck wars, and we finished off the day with pie and watermelon eating contests!Īnother favorite day among the residents was Disney World Day. They topped off the day with some refreshing sno-cones. The residents had a fun start to Nursing Home Week playing horse shoes and going on horse-drawn hayrides. This year’s Nursing Home Week was another success! We would like to thank our Mayor, Roddy Harrison, and our State Representative, Regina Bunch, for joining our Nursing Home Week Kickoff celebration!
